A Review of Hazel’s People Added to the U.S. Bibliography

Unger, Erin Koop. “Watching Hazel’s People.” Mennotoba, 19 September 2022, https://www.mennotoba.com/watching-hazels-people/.

Erin Koop Unger has just published a review of the film Hazel’s People, which is based off Merle Good’s novel Happy as the Grass Was Green. The Bibliographies don’t normally include reviews, but I’ve chosen to include this one under Good’s entry in the U.S. Bibliography for archival purposes because it includes a link to the film on YouTube! The film is the first-ever feature film of a Mennonite novel, pre-dating Miriam Toews’s All My Puny Sorrows and Women Talking and Rachel Yoder’s Nightbitch by fifty years.
